The last 3 “Summer” months have seen the team here at What An Event very busy putting on a variety of events for clients, proving the creativity, flexibility and passion for events that we pride ourselves on and on which our reputation is built.
All events received outstanding feedback, and a few have already booked for next year, with others looking to start planning their 2020 event calendar in the next couple of months.
Here are some of the highlight events we have delivered:
TES SummerFest 2019
A company-wide 2 day residential event for 350 guests. We had total involvement in all stages of the event; initial venue finding, event concepts and design, Team Festival production, team building activities, conference and delegate management, accommodation. Our client put their full trust in us and they weren’t disappointed.
Day 1 comprised of conference followed by a Team Festival in the evening at a secret location.
Day 2 had a Team Building Event in the morning (to blow away the cobwebs!!), followed by further conference and the event closing.
Our knowledge and experience was called upon at numerous stages throughout, not least when we had the bombshell dropped on us 5 weeks before the event at 5pm on the Friday of a Bank Holiday that the venue could no longer host the Festival Event!! In our true calm and measured approach we had sourced another venue within 1.5 hours – not bad going even if we do say so ourselves!
VS Ltd 10th Anniversary Event
This client wanted to push the boat out a bit for their 10th Anniversary Event, and invite staff and their families to celebrate their success.
Again we took care of everything, and secured exclusive hire of one of the country’s finest and most renowned Stately Homes, which immediately provided the “WOW” Factor as the 80 guests arrived down the long sweeping drive. From there the scene was set for the weekend. Our client wanted competitive team based activities that would be suitable for adults and children to take part in together, so we put on a Total Wipeout event, followed by Archery Tag & Dodgeball competitions.
Catering was simply superb and continued to “WOW” the guests with the outrageous Wall Of Fire from a World Championship BBQ Team – has to be seen to be believed! Like Michelin Starred food cooked in front of live fire – amazing.
ISG Summer Company Event
Trying to please everyone in a group of 100 people isn’t easy, but we seemed to manage it with this one! We recommended Edinburgh as the destination for this 2 day event, and Edinburgh did us proud! We arranged the transport from our client’s offices, with first stop at Musselburgh Racecourse for some lunch followed by competitive outdoor team activities. Then we headed for central Edinburgh to the wonderful Macdonald Holyrood Hotel for a bit of down time.
We found an absolute gem of a venue for the evening, taking over exclusively the Cannonball Restaurant at the end of the Royal Mile right next to Edinburgh Castle. Annoyingly Kylie Minogue had taken over the Castle for a concert the following evening, so Cannonball was the next best thing! Amazing food in a stunning location, and central for the clubbers in the group to go and find their own adventures into the early hours….
Surprisingly everyone was present in body, if not mind, and ready for the departure the following morning. We counted them all out, and counted them all back!
Here’s to the next busy 3 months…
